In Which There are Visitors from Far Away
Got to see two people I haven't seen in a long while, mbartell and knitknut. Jen and I caught up to them on their honeymoon tour of Texas. You know how there are some friends you used to know that you're glad they don't come around anymore? These two are not those people. Very happy they took the time to come back the next day when I wasn't there the first time.

They took us to the Buddy Holly Center, which even though we live in Lubbock, Jen and I had never visited, and then we took them to our favorite non-smoking pub (yes, Lubbock has joined the Twenty-First Century!) and enjoyed pints of Shiner Black. Ahhh.

We were also told about a pizza combo we'd never heard of before: breakfast bacon and pineapple, known up there as the "Dirty Hawaiian". We'll have to order Simple Simon's before too long and try it out (they're the only pizza place we order from anymore).

I also got a really neat hat from them that knitknut knitted, of which Jen took a pic or two and I have uploaded. It's a new twist on the "Hired Goon" shirts that mbartell makes.

Again, congrats to you two on the nuptials! It was really great to see you again.
